2019年第一弾のイベント、ステラボを先日1月11日（金）に開催しました！ステラボとは、各回設けられたテーマに従って就活準備を進めていくイベントです。
今回のテーマは、「まず何から始めたらいい？最初に手をつけること」というテーマでお送りしました。実は今回のテーマは二回目の開催。前回は、9月に行いました。
3月直前！今やるべきこととは
前回は9月に行いましたが、9月と3月では状況が全く異なると思います。今回参加してくれた学生さんたちは、就活の進捗状況について以下のように話してくれました。
- インターンシップに参加した
- 企業を絞り込もうとしている
- インターンシップ選考に向けてESを書いている
などなど…。既に動き始めている様子が伺えますね。1月になってもなお、動き出せていない学生さんも多い中で、これだけ動けているのは素晴らしいと思います！
今回のステラボは「日程が合わないけど参加したかった」という声も多く寄せられたので、内容を公開しちゃいます！
2020年卒の就活スケジュール
みなさんご存知だと思いますが、2020年卒の学生さんの就活の流れは、上記の画像の通りです。現在、ナビサイトでは「企業情報」「前年の採用情報」「インターンシップ情報」が掲載されていると思いますが、こちらが3月1日0:00より2020年卒の学生さん向けの最新情報へと更新されます。これが「ナビサイトオープン」です。
そしてナビサイトオープンと同時に、説明会の情報も公開されます。いつ、どこで、どんな内容の会社説明会が行われるのかが分かり、ナビサイトより申し込みができる状態になります。
しかし、就職活動のスケジュールはどんどん前倒しになっているのが現状です。ナビサイトオープンと同時に情報がたくさん流れ込み、説明会に参加しながら選考を受けながら大学の授業にも行く…と非常に慌しい状態になることが予想されます。
正直に言うと、3月1日になってから就活スタートじゃ遅いです！3月までに準備を進めておくのが大切です。
3月までにできること
それでは、3月までにできることはなんでしょうか？まず、私たちODL就活Caféでは、就活のスタートからゴールまでをステップ形式にして考えました。それが上記の画像です。
やりたいことを明確にする（自己分析）、企業を調べる（企業研究）は3月までにできること、実際に行く（インターンシップや説明会）、選考を受けるのは3月以降にもできることだと考えています。
やりたい方向を明確にする
まずやりたい方向を明確にすること、すなわち自己分析についてです。自己分析は就活前の学生さんにとっては「本当にしなきゃいけないの？」と思われがちですが、就活を終えた後振り返ってみて「自己分析やっとけば良かった…」「自己分析やってて良かった！」と結果が出るものなんです。
こちらも同様にステップを踏んで考えました。
- やりたいことを考えたことはない → まずは考えてみよう！
- やりたいことを考えたけど分からない → 自分の興味を深堀りしよう！
- 考えた結果「おもしろそうだな」というものが見えかけている → 文章化してみよう！
- 何で「おもしろそうだ」と思うのか説明できる（根拠がある） → その仕事に就いた先の自分をイメージしてみよう！
- その仕事をして何をしたいのかが分かる → 自分がその仕事に就いてどんなものが得られるのか考えてみよう！
- 働いて本当に得たいものが分かる
5と6は、説明会で実際に企業の話を聞いたり、選考で聞かれたことを話したりと、実際に就活が進んできて分かるケースもあります。そのため、まずは5の段階に進めるようになってほしいと思います。
今回はODL独自のワークシートを用いながら、企業選びで大切にしていることや自分がどうしてその方向に興味を持っているのかを考えてもらいました。
企業を調べる
次に企業を調べる、つまり企業研究ですが実際に企業を調べるツールやナビサイトの見方をご説明したあと、実際にサイトを見ながら企業を探してみました。
数ある企業からさっきの自己分析で得た条件に沿って絞り込みを行い、ポイントを捉えてサイトをチェックしていきます。ナビサイトには合説に参加しない企業もたくさん掲載されていますよ！
3月に入ってからだとなかなか時間が取れないので、今のうちから進めていくことをおすすめします。
実際に行く
実際に行くというところでは、合説の周り方や今後気をつけてほしいことについてお話ししました。スケジュール管理や地亜丁管理、遅刻や欠席の連絡など、当たり前ですができていない学生さんが多いのが現実。改めて意識してほしいと思います。
履歴書は今から準備しておこう！
最後に自由に相談会を行ったのですが、大部分が「ES・履歴書」についてでした。やらないといけない、どういう風にすればいいのか分からないという思いはあるものの、なかなか動き出せてはいない学生さんが多いことを毎年感じます。
私たちがいつもお伝えしているのは、まずは手元に持って内容を確認すること！大学の指定の履歴書があるのはご存知ですか？またどこで手に入るのか知っていますか？
自分の大学がどのようになっているのか確認し、まずは何枚か手に入れてみましょう。大学によって少し項目が異なる場合もあるので、項目を把握しておいてください。
また、志望理由はともかく、趣味や学歴、基本情報など受ける企業に関わらず共通で書けるものに関しては予め書いて準備しておくのが得策です。全て書くだけでも時間がかかるので、今のうちからすぐ準備できることです。
細かい書き方のルールはインターネットで調べたらすぐ出てきますし、ODLでも個別相談に随時乗っています。
