今回で最終回となった飛鳥グループさんの座談会は、谷口専務と2名の学生さんで和やかに進んでいきました。
今回、葬祭業に興味のある学生さん2名が参加したため、同業他社と比べた飛鳥グループさんの強みや、業界全体のことにまで話が及びました。
葬祭業のプロ精神とは
私が興味深かった話題は、「葬祭業において、仕事中に泣いてしまうことについてどう思いますか？」という質問。
谷口専務の回答は、「思わず涙が出てしまうのは、人として当たり前のこと」。続けて、「でも、やらないといけないことをきちんとこなすのが私たちプロの仕事です」と答えてくださいました。
やはり、葬祭という仕事柄、どうしても涙を堪えられない場面はたくさんあるそうですが、そのために司会・進行が
滞ってしまうことは許されません。
プロとしての誇りと責任を持ってお仕事をされていることを改めて感じることができました。また、「葬祭の仕事はAI（人工知能）に取って代わられますか？」という質問もありました。
谷口専務は、「部分的な業務は代わられてしまうかもしれないけれど、お客様との関わり合いにおいては取って代わることはできないと思います。」と回答。
ひとことに「接客」と言っても、葬祭業における接客はお客様の悲しみや不安にどれだけ寄り添うことができるかが重要です。きっとそこは、AIに代わられることはないでしょうし、お客様としても、抵抗があると思います。
改めて葬祭業のこれからと可能性を考えることができた座談会となりました。ご参加頂いた飛鳥グループ協同組合の谷口専務、そして学生の皆さん、ありがとうございました！
