今回は現役の就活生である私たちが、就職先が決まった先輩方へインタビュー！
就活のコツから、ピンチの脱出法や失敗まで！？実際に経験したからこそわかるあれこれをたくさんお聞きすることができました。
大ボリュームのインタビュー、今回は就活やインターンを始める前のことに重点を置いた内容をお届けします。

Nさん：広島県内の大学に在籍。経済学部4年。
Mさん：岡山県内の大学に在籍。教育学部4年。

就活、いつ始める？
お二人がインターンに応募するまでのことを教えてください。
大学1年生の頃から就活に関心を持っていたというNさん。
Nさん「就活だけは失敗できないという思いがあったので、早い段階から準備に取り組みました。3年の6月に面接が解禁になってすぐに、行きたい企業の選考に応募していましたね。志望動機も企業それぞれを意識したものをきちんと考えていました。本選考までにインターンでその企業の仕事内容ををより詳しく勉強しましたよ。」
一方でMさんが就活を意識したのは大学3年生。
Mさん「私はもともと教員志望でした。ですが、3年春の教育実習でもっと広い場所で働き、視野も広げたいと考えるようになりました。」
ところが一筋縄ではいかない事情も…。
Mさん「3年の6月頃から大学のキャリアセンターで就活のことをゼロから学びました。周りの友人たちはみんな教員志望だったので、就活に関する情報は手に入れにくい環境でしたね。」
合同説明会って難しそう…意外とそうでもないんです
合同説明会について教えてください。
Nさん「僕はインターンの合同説明会だけに参加しました。本選考の合同説明会は行きませんでした。説明ブースが各社ごとに設けられていてお話を聞くという形式でした。会社のことを知る良い機会だったと思います。その場の雰囲気としては気軽な感じでした。」
Mさんも合同説明会に参加してみた感想は近いようで…。
Mさん「私もNさんと同じで、インターンの合同説明会だけ参加しました。家にチラシが来ていて存在を知りましたね。何となくでもいいのでまずは参加してみるべきだと思います。スーツの人も私服の人もいてバラバラでしたし、気軽な雰囲気でした。」
就活サイトも使いよう
就活サイトを使う上で気を付けていた点があれば教えてください。
Nさん「特に変わったことではありませんがしいて言うならメール設定ですかね。本選考が近づくと情報が溢れて大切なものまで埋もれてしまうので、情報の見極めをしやすくしていました。」
Mさん「そうですね。私も程よい付き合いにしておくことにしていました。あくまでも情報収集のツールの一つ、という認識で利用していましたよ。」
マナーやあいさつなどで何か気を配っていた点、自分なりに工夫していた点はありましたか？
Nさん「選考通過メールのアドレスと電話での応対は特に丁寧にしていましたね。あと、そのアドレスや番号を登録しておいて、すぐに気づけるようにしていました。」
Mさん「私も自動返信のメールはともかく、それ以外はどれもすぐに丁寧に返信するようにしていました。書き方やマナーなどはキャリアセンターにおいてある本やネットなどで調べていましたね。」
学生時代目立った活躍をしていなくても大丈夫！
ESの書き方で気を付けた点があれば教えてください。
Nさん「僕はエントリーシート提出の機会があまりなかったのであまり詳しい話はできませんが、『学生時代頑張ったこと』については特に力を入れていました。出来事そのものよりも、その出来事の中で自分が思ったことや考えたことに重点を置いて具体的に書いていましたね。」
留学やボランティア、サークルの幹部や成績…エントリーシートの定番、『学生時代頑張ったこと』に書けるようなすごい経験もしていないし出来事が無い。そんな人でも大丈夫だとNさんは言います。
「いかに主体的にその出来事に関わるか、ということを意識してそれぞれの活動に参加することが大切だと思いますね。」
Mさん「私もインターンでエントリーシートを提出する機会は少なかったです。特に工夫した記憶があるのは自己紹介文ですね。普通のエントリーシートとは少し離れた形式ですが、A4用紙一枚に自己紹介文を書くという課題が出たことがありました。そのときは写真や画像の使用も可能だったので、真ん中にメインで見て欲しい写真を大胆に配置するなど目に留まる配置にすることに注意していました。」
