就活イベントで毎年必ずといっていいほど出るのが、「学生のどんなところを見ていますか？」という質問。そこで今回はその疑問に答えるべく、「企業は学生のどこを見ているの？就活における採用の裏側」というテーマでお話しをさせていただきました。
この日は会場がいつもと異なり、ODLのお客様でもあるネットリンクス株式会社様というIT・会計のコンサルティング企業様のスペースをお借りして開催しました。
受付の際にはネットリンクス様がとても素敵なおもてなしを下さり、ウェルカムボードに参加者の名前を書いてくれていました！
今回の目標は…？
ステラボでは、毎回全体の目標をお伝えしています。今回の目標は以下の二つ。
- 企業目線を知って戦略的な視点を身に着けよう！
- 想いを伝える練習をしてみよう！
とくに一つ目について、たっぷりお伝えする2時間として内容を組みました。
ODLチームVS学生チームのアイスブレイク
本題に入る前に、参加者同士でも仲良くなってほしいということでアイスブレイクを行いました。題して、『なまえでパズル』。チームメンバーの名前をひらがなで書き、そのひらがなだけを使っていくつ単語を作れるか競うゲームです。
ODLチーム対学生チームの対決でしたが、蓋をあけてみるとなんと同点！引き分けとなりました。「小さい『ょ』を使いたかった～」と悔しがる声もあり盛り上がりました。
企業は学生のどこを見ているの？
アイスブレイクの後はいよいよ本題。上記の質問の答えですが、私たちは二つあると考えています。
- どの企業でも共通するもの
- その企業ごとに異なるもの
このそれぞれが何かは、企業が採用する時にどんなことを考えているかを見てみると分かります。
そう、まず企業は面接の際、「この人と一緒に働きたいかどうか？」ということを見ています。一緒に働きたい人とは、皆さんの周りの「感じがいいなぁ」という人を思い浮かべると分かりやすいかもしれません。
感じの良い人が好まれる理由は、「周りに良い影響を与えそうだな」と思うからです。新卒採用をする企業は、新入社員に会社へ新しい空気を吹き込んでほしいと期待しています。
企業ごとに見ているところが違うもの
企業が採用するときに考えているもう一つのことは、「自社がいま求めている人物像にどれだけ近いか？」ということです。求める人物像は企業によって異なるので、ここが企業研究と戦略の立てどころ。また、企業の視点のポイントが詰まっています。
それぞれの企業が求めている人物像を一言で表すとすれば、自社の未来に添える人であると思います。
- 今すでに働いている人達との相性はどうか？
- 自社への入社意欲がどれだけあるか？
- 募集する職種をこの人に担ってもらえるか？
これらの要素を見ながら、企業は自社の未来を一緒に作っていってくれる人を欲しいと思っています。
そして選考を受ける学生がそれにあてはまっているかどうかは、履歴書や面接での話の内容で判断されていきます。
だからこそ、行きたい会社がどんなことをしようとしていて、そのためにどんな人を必要としているのかをしっかり把握しておく必要があるんですね。
企業の求める人物像を知る方法
気になる会社がどんなことをしようとしているかは、ホームページには載っていないことが多いです。説明会や企業訪問を使って、直接話を聞きに行くのが一番です。
企業によっては、今の事業説明だけにとどまり、未来のビジョンについて話がないこともあるので、その時は質問してみましょう。
- 今、特にどんなことを担える人を求めているか
- これからどんなことに取り組んでいこうと考えているか
こういったことが聞けると、志望理由をより具体的にできたり、企業が求めている人物像にあわせた自己PRを書くことができます。

最後に、「イキイキ話しているときの自分の表情や声のトーンを体感しよう！」ということで、好きなものについて参加者の学生さんそれぞれに語ってもらいました！
テーマは『今、一番やっていて楽しいこと』。
それを好きな理由や、これからやってみたいことについても話してもらい、どんなところがよかったか、どんな顔をして話していたかをお互いにフィードバックしてもらいました。
みんな、好きなものについて語るときの顔はとても目がキラキラしていて、声のトーンもとても明るい！話し方でお互いに褒められたところはその人の長所なので、控えておいて武器として活用してくださいね、ということもお伝えしました。
参加した学生さんの感想
- 最近は周りの友達が選考をもうすでに受けているという話を聞いたりして不安になっていましたが、企業がどのようなことを学生に求めているのかということや、どういうとこを見られているのかということなどを知れて、とてもよかったです。
- 面接の印象がだいぶ変わった。今まで変に気負い過ぎていた部分があったのかなと思った。特に面接自体を楽しむという考え方、面接官を笑わせようという心の持ち方は参考にしたいと思う。
- まずは自分が何に興味があり、どんな仕事をしたいか取捨選択をしてしぼろうと思ったそこからどうしてそこなのか話せるように、今回自分の話し方を評価してもらったことを参考にしながら準備していきたい。
