3月はほぼ毎日開催している『学生と企業の緩やか座談会』。
岡山・広島の企業さん11社が日替わりで登場し、社長さんとお話しできるイベントです。
今回は2021年3月15日に開催した、平林金属株式会社さんの座談会の様子をお伝えします。

えこ便のデザインって？
早いもので最後の座談会となる平林金属さん。
平林社長と人事の重久さんにお越しいただき、学生サイドは前回に引き続き満席。
内容の濃い1時間半となりました！

今回は今までにない新しい視点の質問も多くあがりました。
例えば、「えこ便はおしゃれできれいなイメージ、デザイン性の高い建物だけど理由はあるのか？」という質問。
確かに、ごみステーションのイメージとはかけ離れたデザインですよね。
これには「ゴミ出しという行為をポジティブに捉えてほしい」との回答を平林社長よりいただきました。
ちょっとそこまで出かけるついでに立ち寄れるのはお客様にとっても嬉しいですよね。
一方、店舗によっては住宅地の中に店舗を構えている場合があります。
地域の皆様にも「汚い」と思われないよう、デザインにはこだわったそうです！
離職率が低いのはなぜ？
事前に企業研究をしっかりしてくださった学生さんが多く、鋭い質問もありました。
平林金属さんでは離職率が低いそうで、その理由として「ミスマッチの起きない採用活動を心がけているから」と平林社長。
今年から平林金属さんの採用活動に携わらせていただいているODLですが、確かに拝見していても独自のプログラムや採用活動に対する強い想いを感じることがしばしばあります。
これは業界・会社に関わらず、「どんな人が欲しいのかを提示して、それにマッチする学生を採用するようにしている」そうで、採用に至らなかった＝劣っているということではない！と私も声を大にして言いたいです。
各部署の人数や状況によって、採用したい人物像は異なります。
たまたまその会社に合わなかっただけなので、仮に不合格が続いたとしても気持ちを切り替えて行動し続けてほしいですね。
平林社長の熱量、エネルギー
座談会全体を通して感じたのは、平林社長の人柄。
明るくて前向きで行動力がある！その熱量はどこから来るのでしょうか…！
平林社長は「困っている人を助けたい」という想いが根底にあるそうです。
平林金属さんのお仕事は、決して目立つものではないけど誰かがやらないと成り立たない大事な仕事。
就職活動や日常生活の中でも「きっと誰かがやってくれるだろう」と思う場面は多くあります。
そんな中で勇気を出して、その「誰か」になれるかどうかが大事。
まずは行動してみることが大事なんだなと改めて実感しました！
参加学生の感想
- 初めて企業の社長とお話をさせていただきました。常にマイナスなことでも前向きにとらえ、あいさつなど日常生活の中でできることを全力で取り組んでいるということがとても印象に残りました。
- えこ便の施設は地域の方に来ていただきやすいようにきれいなデザインにされていると学ばさせていただきました。
- 思ったことは前向きに「とりあえずやってみる」をしっかりしていきたいです。
- 社会や環境に、決して目立つことがなかったとしても、そのために行動ができるよう努めたいと思います。
- 平林社長の明るさに元気をいただきました。私も人に元気を与えられるような人になりたいと思いました。
