2021年に新卒採用を行う岡山・広島の企業さんを招いて開催した「学生と企業の緩やか座談会」。

今回は、株式会社スーパードライチェーンさんの座談会三回目（最終回）の様子をお伝えします！

いよいよ今秋オープン予定！ドッグラン・ドッグカフェ事業をスタートさせるスーパードライチェーンさん

スーパードライチェーンさんは、社名からも想像がつくかもしれませんが、クリーニング事業を主力事業とされています。

今年はクリーニング事業に加え、新規事業の「ドッグラン・ドッグカフェ事業」についても募集をされており、興味を持ってくださる学生さんも多いです。

今回もそんな新規事業に興味を持つ学生さんにお越しいただきました。

ちょうどコロナウイルスが岡山でも身近に感じられるようになった時期。体調不良の方もいらっしゃって残念ながら1名でのご参加でしたが、じっくり色々なお話が聞けました。

 

今回ご参加いただいた学生さんは動物園でのアルバイト経験があり、動物と関わる仕事に興味を持たれていたそうですが「なかなか企業を探すのが難しい」と話してくれました。

 

また、スーパードライチェーンさんには前回・前々回に引き続き、赤木常務・赤木部長にお越しいただきました。

赤木常務は次期社長として会社全体を見据えたお仕事をされている一方、今まで培ったITの知識や経験を活かして新規事業のPRについても取り組まれていらっしゃいます。

一方赤木部長は普段は総務部に所属されていますが、前職でドッグトレーナーとして活躍されていました。ワンちゃんに関する知識や経験も持たれている方です。

このお二方が現在の新規事業を牽引されており、座談会ではリアルなお話をたくさん聞くことができました。

 

ちなみに店舗は今秋オープン予定だそうです。今から楽しみですね！

専門知識っているの？どうなの？

スーパードライチェーンさんに限らず、どの企業さんの座談会でも必ず話題にあがるのが、「専門的な知識はいるのか？」「必要な資格はあるか？」ということです。

 

今回は特にドッグトレーナーとして必要なことについての質問がありました。

これに対する赤木部長のお答えとしては、公になっている資格として「JKC」があるとのことでした。

JKCは一般社団法人ジャパンケネルクラブという愛犬団体が主催している資格で、愛犬飼育管理士やトリマーなどの資格があります。

ただ入社前に必ず取得しないといけないわけではありませんのでご安心ください。

 

私も仕事やプライベートで資格を取得する経験はありますが、いつも思うのが「資格取得はゴールではなくスタートだ」ということです。

あくまで大事なのは実務での経験。スーパードライチェーンさんでは仕事を通して経験を積むことができるので、活躍できる環境は整っていると思います。

 

ただ資格を取ることでメリットはあります。

例えば、お客様からの信頼感。

みなさんもお客様の立場になって想像してみたら分かると思いますが、資格があるスタッフの方が安心してワンちゃんを預けられますよね。

そういう意味でも資格は持っておいて損はないと思います。

資格よりも大切な資質

資格を取るのも大事かもしれませんが、新卒のみなさんに期待していることとして、赤木常務は「意欲」と答えてくださいました。

「こんな風になりたい」という意欲を持ち、普段からアンテナを張って行動することで、それが自己成長に繋がります。

未経験でも「やってみたい！」「こうなりたい！」という意欲があれば大丈夫、と常務は仰っていました。

 

また意欲を発信することも大事だと思います。

自分の中に秘めておくだけでなく言葉にすることで周りが助けてくれることもあるんです。

就活生のみなさん、これから就活を始めるみなさんもぜひ実践してみてくださいね。

間違ったことが当たり前として伝わること

赤木部長は前職のドッグトレーナーの経験を活かして、しつけ教室なども行う予定だそうです。

最近はインターネットで調べればすぐ情報が見つかる時代。

ワンちゃんのしつけについても動画サイトで検索すると様々な動画を見ることができます。

 

しかし部長が仰っていたのが、「動画サイトに載っているしつけのやり方が正しいとは決して言えない」ということです。

多くのフォロワーを抱えるインフルエンサーが誤った情報を拡散することで、その情報が当たり前として伝わることも多くあります。

部長はこれらに惑わされず、ご自身の知識と経験をもとにお仕事をされているんだなと感じました。
