夢はホールディングス化！？社長と副社長に会社のビジョンを聞く！室賀ネジ機工座談会（第二回）

遂に4月に入り、就活生の皆さんは就活解禁から1ヵ月が経ちました。4月は新たな授業を履修したり、新入生が入ってきたり、多くの新たなことに出会う季節ですね。

先日行われた室賀ネジ機工株式会社さんの第二回目の座談会でも、「新事業」や「第二の創業」のお話で盛り上がりました。

今回はその座談会の内容をお伝えします。詳しい事業内容を書いているので、第一回目のブログもぜひ合わせてご覧ください！

新事業にチャレンジする社長から聞く「成功の秘訣」室賀ネジ機工座談会（第一回）

社長と副社長が語る、室賀ネジ機工のビジョン

室賀ネジ機工さんは2019年をもって、区切りのよい創業70周年目を迎えます。そして、2019年は平成から新しい元号『令和』へ移り変わる年。

新しいことを始めるには打ってつけの今年、室賀ネジ機工さんは「第二の創業」というテーマを掲げているそうです。

これまで会社を支えてきてくれた方々が定年退職をされ、そして2017年から新卒採用も始めたことにより、昨年に引き続き今年も新入社員が入社します。

副社長からは、「若い方からの意見や提案を聞き、新たなことに挑戦していきたい」と意気込みを語ってくださいました。

思い描くビジョン

そんな室賀ネジ機工さんが思い描くビジョンの中の一つに、「ホールディングス化」があるそうです。

ネジ事業、そして外食事業、不動産事業、運送事業と様々な事業がそれぞれ独立している室賀ネジ機工さんですが、これらの事業に横の繋がりを持たせ、提供できるサービスの幅を広くしたいそうです。

他にも、本業であるネジ事業の営業エリアを拡大することや、外食事業においてはタリーズの2店舗目を持ちたいことなど、様々なビジョンのお話をして頂きました。

多くの事業を行う大変さ

学生さんからの質問で、「一つだけでなく多くの事業を手掛けていることにより、苦労したことは？」というものがありました。

この答えはやはり、一つの事業だけではなく、全てを並行して行わなければならないため、それぞれの事業の会議や出張が被らないように「スケジュールをしっかり管理しておくこと」でした。

分野の違う仕事がたくさん詰まっているとどうしても切り替えが難しいように思いますが、そんな中で副社長が行っている集中方法を教えて頂きました。

それは、「頭のカセットを入れ替えること」。「今は外食事業のことについて考えるぞ」と決めたら、「外食事業のカセットを自分の頭の中にはめ込む」イメージをするそうです。

そして、不動産事業のことを考える際は、「外食事業のカセットを取り出して、不動産事業のカセットに入れ替える」イメージをします。

このイメージを頭の中で考えるだけで、取り組みの集中力はかなり上がるそうです。

確かに、多くのやらなければならないことに追われている時こそ、まずは複数の仕事の優先順位を見直し、仕事に取り組む前に一息ついて、そのような分かりやすいイメージを頭の中で作ってから仕事に当たるのは集中力がグッと上がりそうですね！

現在の取り組み

現在行っていることとして社長と副社長が最初に挙げたのは、「防災BCP」。災害が少ない岡山と言われてきましたが、昨年の集中豪雨の被害は記憶に新しいですね。

実は室賀ネジ機工さんの本社のある場所は海抜から高い場所にあり、津波や氾濫の危険性は低いそうです。

室賀ネジ機工さんでは、災害発生時に社員とその家族が会社に避難して来られるように、「社内への備蓄」を行い、多くの人が寝られるように2階の床タイルをカーペットにしています。

また、社員間で非常時の緊急連絡先を決めておくなど、会社全体でしっかりと防災に取り組んでいらっしゃいます。

会社を守ることはもちろんですが、何よりもお二人が社員さんのことを家族のように大切にしていることが伺える、取り組みのお話でした。

参加した学生さんの感想

  • 会社内容や事業内容、これからの展望について詳しく、分かりやすく説明して頂き、驚きや新しい発見がありました。
  • 最初は、多くの事業をされていて、どんなことをしている会社だろうと思っていましたが、どの事業もより良くしていこうとする姿勢と、常に新しいことを見ていることがわかりました。

室賀ネジ機工さんの座談会は、今回も終始笑い声が聞こえてくる楽しい座談会となりました。室賀社長と室賀副社長、そして参加してくださった学生さん、ありがとうございました！
