2020年卒の就職活動が解禁となり早2ヶ月が経とうとしています。ODL就活Caféにも「内定をもらいました」という報告もあれば「苦戦しています」という報告もあります。
この時期はどうしても大手企業や人気企業に目が向きがちですが、少しでも幅を広げて色んな企業さんの説明会に足を運んでもらいたいなあと思います。
今回の座談会にご参加いただいた（株）スーパードライチェーンさんもその一つ！このブログを読んでスーパードライチェーンさんにも興味を持っていただけたら嬉しいです。

クリーニングってどんなイメージ？
創業48年を迎えるスーパードライチェーンさんは創業当初から「クリーニング」を主力事業として取り組んでこられました。就職活動をしている学生さんにとって、「不動産事業」「メーカー」などは聞きなじみがあると思いますが、「クリーニング」というと知っているようで知らない世界だと思います。
座談会や説明会を通して、赤木社長はよく「クリーニングってどんなイメージ？」と学生さんに質問されますが、今までにこんな回答が返ってきていました。
- 親がクリーニングに出すけど自分では出したことがない
- 身近だけどちょっと地味？
- 工場で黙々と取り組む仕事？
- スーツやドレスなど良い衣服をクリーニングに出すイメージ
上記の回答と同じイメージをお持ちの方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか？そんなクリーニング事業について赤木社長のお話をご紹介します。
スーパードライチェーンさんは、創業当初、「街のクリーニング屋さん」としてスタートしました。当時は大切な服（一張羅と言うんだそうです）はもちろん日常的に着る服もクリーニングに出していたそうです。
しかし、時代の流れとともにクリーニング事業の需要が落ちていってしまいました。その要因として、衣服の素材が良くなったこと（家庭で洗えることがアピールされるようになりました）、洗濯機や洗剤の技術が向上したことが挙げられます。
この現状にいち早く気付き危機感を抱いた赤木社長。「このままじゃだめだ…」そう思われたそうです。そんな赤木社長が打ち出した策は「リネンサプライ（産業クリーニング）」への展開でした。
リネンサプライとは、病院や健康ランド、福祉施設などのシーツや衣服、ユニフォームを回収してクリーニングすることです。こちらの需要はどんどん伸びて行き、現在ではホームクリーニングよりリネンサプライの方が売上を大きく上回っています。
また、岡山県内にも様々なクリーニング店がありますが、スーパードライチェーンさんの魅力として「仕事の丁寧さ」「豊富なクリーニングメニュー」が挙げられます。
仕事の丁寧さでは、素材や周辺環境（温度や湿度など）によって調整される洗いや染み抜き、長年培った技術と「お客様に喜んでいただきたい」と妥協せず取り組まれる仕上げなどが好評をいただいているんだそうです。
地域の病院や施設はもちろんですが、誰でも知っているような某企業さんからも好評をいただいていて取引が続いているのだから驚きです。
豊富なクリーニングメニューについては、社長自らが開発に積極的に取り組まれていて、他のクリーニング店舗ではやっていないようなメニューを取り揃えています。
例えば、スカートのシワを伸ばす加工をシワが崩れやすい後ろにだけ施したり、通気性のある撥水加工を施したり。また車椅子や着ぐるみ、剣道着など洗えるもののバリエーションも豊富です。
このようなクリーニングの話をじっくり聞く機会は、学生さんにとっても初めての経験だったようです。今回の座談会に参加された学生さんたちからは「イメージが変わった！」「おもしろそうだと思った！」との感想をいただきました。
女性が活躍できる職場
座談会ではスーパードライチェーンさんの職場環境についての質問も多く出ていたのですが、印象的なのは「女性が活躍できる職場」だということです。
スーパードライチェーンさんは、スタッフ数が約80名いますが、そのうち女性は60名ほど。女性の割合が圧倒的に高いのが特徴です。女性スタッフはパートさんが多いですが、こんなスタッフさんも！
- 入社30年越え！創業当初から働き続ける方
- 結婚や出産を機に一度退職したものの、数年後に職場復帰される方
- 主任やリーダーとして活躍される方
会社全体が「女性がどんどん活躍していこう！」という風潮があるので女性にとって非常に働きやすい職場だと思います。もちろん男性の方も対等に活躍されています！
また年齢層は比較的高いですが、幅広い年代の方がいるからこそ話していて楽しい・勉強になると話してくださったスタッフさんもいらっしゃいました。新入社員の方はものすごく可愛がられるそうですよ（笑）
若手社員が多く活発な会社さんも素敵ですが、少し年齢層が高めの会社さんに就職する道も悪くはないのかなと思います。スーパードライチェーンさんは会社見学も随時されていますので興味のある方はぜひご連絡ください。
若いアイディアを積極的に取り入れる
そんなスーパードライチェーンさんは新規事業として、ドッグラン・ドッグカフェ事業を立ち上げたばかりです。今回の座談会に参加された学生さんたちは、みなさんこの新規事業に興味を持たれていたようで活発に質問が飛び交っていました。
まだまだ構想中の段階だそうで、新規事業担当の赤木総務部長からは「逆にどんなことをやってみたい？」という質問が。学生さんたちからは、「絵を描くのが好きだからポスターや告知画像をつくってみたい！」「学校で学んでいた知識を活かしてアプリやホームページをつくってみたい！」などの声が挙がりました。
新規事業に携わっていただく方にはどんどん積極的に意見を出してもらうことで、よりよい企画ができあがると思います。赤木部長も「ぜひ力を貸してほしい」と話してくださいました。
