今回は2022年2月10日に開催した広島化成株式会社さんの座談会一回目をご紹介します。

広島化成さんについて
広島化成さんは毎年座談会にご参加頂いています。
実は、座談会参加企業の中では唯一の広島県の企業さんです。
岡山に近い福山市に本社を構え、工業用品やシューズ、化成品などの製造を行っているメーカーです。
東京・大阪・名古屋にも事業部があり、社員数は約400名の規模！
そんな広島化成さんは社員の方の働きやすさに力を入れており、また、海外で活躍できる環境もあるんです。
座談会では、2021年4月にお若くして代表取締役に就任された宮地社長がお越しくださっています！

広島化成の会社としての強みは？
やっぱり気になる定番の質問ですね！
宮地社長からお答え頂いた内容の一つ目は、「社歴が創業75年で長いこと」でした。
広島化成さんは終戦から2年後の1947年に創業をされています。
75年の間で培ってきた技術力やお客様・取引先の方からの信頼は大きな強みの一つですね。
そして、社長がお答えした二つ目の強みは、「不況の波に強いこと」でした。
広島化成さんは先述の通り、工業用品・シューズ・化成品の3本柱で事業を展開されています。
そのため、不況でどこかの事業部が打撃を受けても、他の事業部でカバーができるという理由でした。
実際にコロナ禍ではシューズ事業部の売上が落ちてしまったそうですが、一方化成品事業部では店舗のレジなどで使用される飛沫防止のシートの製造を手掛け、売上が伸びたそうです。
培った技術力で様々な製品の製造を行っているからこその強みですね！
働きやすさで大切にしていることは？
広島化成さんの強みの一つでもある「社員の方の働きやすさを考えた取り組み」
実は、1947年の創業時から先代の社長の方が経営理念として提唱されていたそうです。
そんな経営理念は
『常に顧客に愛される製品を生産し 企業の健全と従業員の福祉を図り 職域を通じ社会奉仕すること』
この「社員の働きやすさを推進することが仕事の向上に繋がる」という考えが会社に深く根付いており、様々な取り組みをされる上での基盤の考えになっているそうです。

参加学生の感想
- 初めての参加で緊張していたものの、いざ社長と話してみると面白くて質問にも丁寧に答えていただいてとても有意義な時間になりました。
- 社長さんとお話する機会はめったにないのでとても緊張しましたが、かたくなく気軽に質問できる雰囲気で、落ち着いて聞きたいことをたくさん聞くことができました。会社についてだけでなく、就職活動や学生のうちにしておくべきことなど、様々なお話が聞けて良かったです。
