明るく楽しい雰囲気の田中社長との座談会！
今回もタナカマシーナリー株式会社から田中社長にお越しいただきました！
最初に約15年前に特集されたニュース番組を皆で視聴しました。
2001年9月11日に起きたアメリカ同時多発テロ事件にて、その姿形を保った鉄道車両部品。これの制作にタナカマシーナリーさんが携わっていらっしゃったそうです。
その時の特集だったのですが、ものづくりの仕事、魅力がギュッと詰まっていて、とても見応えのある映像でしたね…。

そんなタナカマシーナリーを率いる田中社長はとても明るく、お話していてとても楽しい気持ちにさせてくださる方です。
前回も大変盛り上がりましたが、今回も楽しい雰囲気で開催することができました！

留学生の採用で重視することとは？
今回は中国から留学されている学生さんの参加もあり、留学生雇用に関する質問も目立ちました。
タナカマシーナリーさんでは、現在30名程度の外国人の方が働いていらっしゃるそうです。
最初に見た映像でも外国人研修生の方たちのインタビュー映像がありました。

田中社長は研修生ではなく、学校を卒業して入社する方には「長く働き続けてほしい」ということを仰っていました。
これは私たち日本人にも言えること、どの業界でも言えることだと思いますが、すぐ辞めてしまうよりは長く働いて技術を身に付けてほしいとのことです。
ものづくりの企業さんならなおさらで、最初の1～2年間は新入社員の皆さんへの投資期間だそうです。
今取り組んでいる仕事は？
タナカマシーナリーさんの強みとして、技術力を武器に時代によってつくる商品が変わっていくこと。
先述の動画では鉄道車両部品でしたが、近年特に増えているのは半導体。
今まで目に見える大きな部品の仕事だったのが、半導体は直接目に見えることのない繊細なものづくりとなります。
「今までとはものづくりの考え方が違うため、苦労した」と田中社長。
ものづくりの環境も2年ほどかけて整えたのだそうです。
今後も半導体や液晶関連の仕事が続いていくことが予想されますが、こういった困難な仕事・旬な仕事を通じてどんどんタナカマシーナリーさんの技術力が向上していくんだなと実感しました。
チームワークを大切に
もう一つ、田中社長のお話の中で印象的だったのが「チームワークを大切にしている」というお言葉。
私も今までは、ものづくりは一人で黙々と取り組むイメージだったのですが、全員で一つの製品をつくりあげるためチームワークが大切なんです。
タナカマシーナリーさんは普段の業務とは別にチームワークを高める時間を設けていて、クラブ活動（釣り・ゴルフ）や社員旅行が該当します。
社員旅行は海外旅行も多く開催されており、全額会社負担なのだから驚きです！
クラブ活動や社員旅行のお話には学生さんも興味津々で「楽しそう！」との感想があがっていました。
参加学生の感想
- 企業にとって、就活生に対して一番重視しているところを知りました。
- 自分が普段乗っている新幹線の部品を、タナカマシーナリーさんが製造していることに驚きました。
