昨日は福山の化成品メーカー、広島化成株式会社さんの座談会でした！広島化成さんには三つの事業部があり、それぞれ化成品事業部、シューズ事業部、工業用品事業部の柱で会社を支えています。
ODL就活Caféでは珍しい？デザイン職の話題
実はその中の一つのシューズ事業部ではデザイナーの方たちが市場調査やデザインを行っているのですが、専門性が髙いこともあり、公には募集をされていません。
デザインを勉強されている学生さんたちも一般的な就活サイトからよりも、大学の紹介などで企業を探すことが多いそうです。
その中で今回は、デザイン専攻の学生さんが複数参加してくださり、広島化成さんでのデザイン職の仕事内容について、興味深々でたくさんの質問をしてくださいました！
デザインと一口に言われても様々な仕事がありますが、広島化成さんのシューズデザインは、福山と東京の2拠点に分かれて行われているそうです。
驚くのが、その展示会の時期のはやさ。この時期には、今年の秋冬モデルの展示会が行われる時期なのだそう。アパレル業界もそうですが、製造から販売までの期間を考えると、とても早いのですね。
好きなことを話している時の表情を見る
また今回の座談会は、参加した学生さんたちの好きなものについて話してもらう時間があったためか、本当にとても朗らかな空気で進んでいきました。
その中で本部長が仰られたのは、「やっぱり一緒に働く人は人となりが分かってる人がいいよね」との言葉。好きなもの、興味のあるものを話をしている時に人はとてもいい顔になりますし、素になっていますよね。
座談会は説明会や選考とは違い、こういった普段の姿を見せあえることも大きな利点だと思います。
今後も座談会は続いていきますが、気になるところはしっかり聞いていただきながら、普段のリラックスした姿でお互いが話をしてもらえるように私たちも心がけていきたいと思います。
