こんにちは。初めて記事を書かせていただきます。インターンシップ生の小原です。
今回の取材に協力していただいた先輩は、内定をもらって就活を終えたばかりの4年生の先輩でした。同じ大学の先輩だったので少し驚きました。就活を終えたばかりの先輩として、色々なお話を聞かせていただける、ということで取材に同行できることがとても楽しみでした。
就活にフライングはない
「就活にフライングはない」このことが最も取材で印象に残った先輩からの言葉でした。2回生の2月から就活を考え始めていた先輩は、たくさんの経験や情報を早めに得て、自分の目標を明確にすることの大切さを教えていただきました。
その先輩は、冬の就活の時期に、他の学生との差を見せつけられたり、理想としていた仕事への現実を知ったりして、自分のやりたいことが見えなくなって、つらい時期があったと話していただけました。
それでも、「10年後、20年後自分はどうなっていたいか？」ということに目を向け、もう一度自分のやりたいことを考え、今だけでなく入社後の目標を見つめ直し、最終的にホテル業界への内定を得たそうです。
就活は内定を得るだけがゴールではなく、むしろ入社後に自分が目標としたい社会人になるまでがゴールなのだと感じました。
目の前のことだけではなく、「数十年後に自分はどうなっていたいか」についても考えながら就活に臨んでいきたいです！
先輩の貴重なお話を伺えて本当に良かったです。
